Tomoko graduated as an occupational therapist in 2007 from the University of Queensland in Australia. She worked at a large metropolitan hospital in Brisbane across a variety of areas, including brain injury, geriatric, cardiac rehabilitation and hand therapy. After moving to Canada, she continued working in the hospital setting within Providence Health Care, working predominantly in the hand clinic at St. Paul’s Hospital. She is a member of the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia and the Canadian Society of Hand Therapists (CSHT). Tomoko completed her hand therapy certification as part of a fellowship training program in 2017. She has been a speaker at the BC hand society annual meeting in 2018, and is a part of a mentoring program at St Paul’s Hospital for hand therapy.
In her spare time, Tomoko enjoys skiing, swimming, cooking and travelling.
